Water restrictions for portion of north central Florida approved

LIVE OAK, Fla. -- Residents in the Suwannee River Water Management District will soon be under new water restrictions.

The district's governing board voted to ban lawn watering between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. Residents living in homes with even-numbered addresses can water their lawns on even-numbered days. Those with odd-numbered addresses can water their lawns on odd-numbered days.

These restrictions go into effect April 7.

Suwannee River Water Management District covers portions of 15 different counties in the north central part of the state.
